Cecili Eckert

My name is Cecili Eckert. I am a Gut Health Expert and Nutritionist. I have spent more time that I would like to admit in a emotionally toxic relationship that played a significant role in my health story.

For more than two decades, I lived in a relationship that left me confused, exhausted, disconnected from myself, and constantly questioning what was true.

Like many people in emotionally manipulative relationships, I spent years trying to understand what was happening, hoping that if I could just communicate better, explain myself more clearly, or be more understanding, things would improve. Instead, I found myself living in a state of chronic stress that affected far more than my emotional well-being.

It affected my health.

As a nutritionist and gut health practitioner living with digestive disease, I spent years studying the connection between nutrition, digestion, inflammation, and healing. What I eventually came to understand was that food was only part of the story. Chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, emotional invalidation, and living in a constant state of hypervigilance were affecting my body in ways I could no longer ignore.

My health did not truly begin to improve until I addressed both the physiological and relational sources of stress in my life. That journey required learning about manipulation, trauma, nervous system regulation, boundaries, self-trust, and ultimately finding the courage to leave a relationship that was no longer healthy for me.

Today, I combine my professional background in nutrition and gut health with my personal experience navigating manipulation, chronic stress, healing, and recovery.

Piecing Together Peace was created to explore the connection between confusing relationships, nervous system health, and the journey back to clarity. Through personal reflections, research, and practical insights, I hope to provide language for experiences that are often difficult to name and help others understand how emotional health, physical health, and self-trust are deeply connected.

My belief is simple: healing begins with understanding and clarity.

Sometimes the first step toward peace is finally making sense of what happened.
